Why don't you just post the youtube link, goofball.
I don't want to go through a proxy server and give them my youtube sign in information.
I'm already signed in to youtube, but this proxy server is asking for my info, therefore I will not watch this video through a proxy.
What's this video about, anyway? |

Fine. youtube is blocked for me in China. hence the proxy. It is impossible
for me to post the direct youtube link, unless I'm clever...nah...
If you want to to see the disturbing video, just go to youtube and search "cutting moments".
Part of my idea to mention this sick video was also to show how hypocritical people are. Youtube allows no nudity. Yet violence, and depravity, within accepted norms? apparently that is fine. What the hell is wrong with us? Our fear of sex is bizarre. Check it out. Tons of violence, blood, gore, death, war, all precede boobs.
Dumb. |

They freaked me out at the time but I have developed a bit of an interest...there are some really crazy films...they can freak you out but you ....i dunno....don't

I would love to find "Bowl of Oatmeal" if possible.

See, I love disturbing things and scary movies. The problem is that I have a VERY overactive imagination, and that usually ends up with me not sleeping for a month. I can usually take gory things pretty well, but it's the psychological things I can't stand. I become scared the most when I see distorted faces or bodies.
Remember in Twin Peaks when Laura was in the red room and her arms were broken and she was talking in that freaky voice? I STILL get freaked out if I start to think about that for a while. And very choppy movements bother me too, for example in The Ring the way the ghost crawled down the stairs. Also things that aren't animated that become animated frighten me...like marionettes or dolls.
However, I love zombies. Does that make sense? They are just too funny for me to take seriously.
I just recently watched the Piano Tuner of Earthquakes by the Quay Brothers. You should watch it. THE best stop-motion animators and I believe they did the videos for Tool's music. Anyway, freaky visuals. |

I hear what you say, and have been through times when I had to accompany sleep with some type of other, comedy maybe, which I love, but now mostly I can go crash, desensitized. I still do not enjoy freaky stuff, but fascination with abomination, well you know, attracts dummies. |

You must have hated Mannequin and the crummy sequel.
I think Kim Cattarall might be a zombie so that could make it better for you. (old joke though) |

I think I am most disturbed by freaky stuff that is possible, or at least seems possible. A well made scary film, in my idea, will have actions that are possible and realistic. We've all heard or read of crazy people, serial killers and such, so when stuff like that is depicted in a real way, that can creep me out for sure. Zombies? Nah, not real, can be creepy, but mostly if it is not real-looking it is humorous to me. I agree, psychological stuff, based on realism, that can leave an imprint.
Maybe that's why "Silence of the Lambs" was a big deal. The things done by sick people in that film were real enough, Jeffrey Dalmer type sickness. Ever see "Citizen X"...? Freaked me out, but I liked it too, though based on a very sick man and his terrible actions.

Chambertin: The movie was too ridiculous for me to be scared of it. I think if the mannequin came alive and started moving in awkward ways then it would be unsettling.
BCM: I agree with that. I think I started a thread where people discussed fears, and my biggest fear is being caught by a serial killer, tortured, and killed. Unlikely, yes, but it is something real. Plus, there are crazy people all around us and you never know who is the wierdo!!
I love the TV show Law and Order SVU, but when I watch a lot of it I start looking over my shoulder and get paranoid that people are following me.
Actually, I almost got abducted twice. Once for sure when I was little by this guy in a white van outside my elementary school. The crossing guard saw what was happening and prevented it, called the cops, etc.
The second time was when I was an adult. I took my mom's Australian Shepherd for a walk in this area of town where there are lots of trails. The parking area was right near the opening of the trail. I am always paranoid and cautious so I am a stickler for detail. I made a note that there were only two cars there, meaning there were at least two parties of people around the trails. As I was getting Hamlet (the dog) ready, I saw this guy in a shady van pull up. He sat in his van for a while, so I just stayed in the car. Thankfully some people came to their cars, and he drove away. Now, I was alone. I felt a little funny, but I figured I was just overreacting. I got out again and started getting the dog ready for the walk and he drove up again. He kept on looking at me, and I decided to just leave, because I was feeling really uncomfortable. I took down his license plate and car make/model and gave it to my mom's friend who is a cop. Turns out he was convicted rapist and the cops had a new warrant for his arrest! Gahh!

Never have seen that show so no idea what you refer to here. You did bring up ideas of The Shining and the twin girls and blood waterfall (bloodfall would be apt if it was a word). And then I also thought of Carrie, where she hears her mother over and over: "They're all going to laugh at you." That stuff was creepy in its time and still is. Good psychological stuff really.
Fear, primal instinct, I guess. We can all relate. |

Well...I do have to say that I feel quite comfortable in Korea. But back in the US I feel like I have to be more careful. |
