Does anyone have any experience or advice about camping at Mud Festival?

Specifically:
How much?
How close is the camp site to the festival?
What did you do with your tent and stuff during the day?
Is there any need to reserve a spot?
Is there a chance that there will not be a site available?
Are small fires permitted?
Any problems with sand fleas?
General scene of the campsite; like is there a communal party vibe?
Anyone else planning on camping there the weekend of the 11th?

thx in advance

How much?
Free and pay. The pay is a rip-off. Free is basically anywhere
that is not controlled. Last year I camped on the beach free. No
problems.

How close is the camp site to the festival?
Varies, close is $$$, further away (i.e. 10 min walk) free

What did you do with your tent and stuff during the day?
Left it, minus valuables. The only people you have to watch out
for are the other mightey whities. Had a couple of hippie scum
try and steal my Ray-bans last year.

Is there any need to reserve a spot?
I'm not sure if you can reserve a camping spot.

Is there a chance that there will not be a site available?
None, you just have to further away from the grandstand.

Are small fires permitted?
Don't think so.

Any problems with sand fleas?
None

General scene of the campsite; like is there a communal party vibe?
None, it is a mudfest, not camping party.

Anyone else planning on camping there the weekend of the 11th?
Maybe, if my wife permits.

Basically just walk north along the beach and you can find unlimited
places to pitch a tent. Just remember, this is a mudfest AND "gougefest",
so camping is best.
