| I want to transfer some money in the next 2 weeks to my UK bank account. Any guesses on what it's going to do during this time or is it just impossible to predict? |

This board is just teaming with Foreign Currency Gurus who rather than earn mega millions working at a hedge fund choose instead to teach little grotty kids for $2,000 a month.
You are in luck I am one of those benevolent, and kind people.
The Pound is going Down (I think) |

Even any reasonable prediction goes out the window the moment North Korea tests their 3rd nuke, gets in an armed scuffle, etc.
For now, your best bet is to watch the exchange rate like a hawk, take advantage if it goes up, but don't expect any good news for quite a while. |

What's annoying is that it was at around 1900 maybe 2 months ago, but that was only for a very short time I think. Anyway its just been at around 2040 for a while now, although it's been steadily going up and now at 2070. I think I will just do it in the next few days if it goes down to 2040 but knowing my luck it will keep going up or once I sell go right down to 1800 a few days later!
I've never had to send money home before, it's almost like gambling. |
