Been reading bout this and considering it for the summer, anybody had it done before? What did you think? Any recommendations on salons? Also when it starts to grow out, can you get your roots done?
Any info appreciated |

yeh its basically a permanent straightening system, yeah I have a straightening iron but it takes too long every morning and in summer, the minute I step outside all that hard work will be undone! |

my friend had it done last year in Canada.
it works amazingly well for several months (7-8, or until you hair grows up quite a bit). she'd wash her hair, let it hair dry and it would be pin-straight.
i know another girl who had it done too, amazing results as well.
however, both girls told me they lost A LOT of hair afterwards.... so if your hair is thin don't do it, the chemicals are so strong and you'll lose so much hair. |

Because Im a standard-bearing beacon of righteousness, and I have nothing better to do....You look like you have lovely hair by the way.
Actually, I can make this more balanced, I went to a barber school the other day and got my first close shave!! The guy nicked me cos he was nervous but otherwise pretty smooth. |

Do it. Love it. Highly recommend it.
You do need to blow dry, but it takes a tiny fraction of the time. I have very thick, slightly wavy hair.
This makes it look sleek, professional, and great during the frizzy humid summers. |

Actually, can I tell you a secret? Im getting to like being pampered lately, all those nice shower gels and such, its nice. Getting a close shave felt really good.
It kinda started when I was in China and I got loads of those cheap massages over there (nothing perverted before you start).
Reckon Im going soft |

Definitely get it done! I had it done last august and my hair is still fairly straight. I have to blow dry it now but I still save a lot of time each morning. |

sounds mainly positive I have really thick hair and was dreading the humidity, but was worried about the strength of the chemicals, thanks for the helpful replies just need to find a decent hairdresser now, as I have heard some horror stories! |

My girlfriend said:
Magic Straight is definitely the way to go. I have extremely thick and curly hair- I've had it done twice now - and both times it has worked perfectly. You will blow dry it ( which honestly takes only like 5 minutes to do ) and it will be perfectly straight.
You'll need to have it does every 4-5 months ( as your hair grows, it becomes noticeably curly in the roots)
Where abouts in Korea are you? The place I went to is in Suyu ... and they were great !! |
