Think I'm going to hit Europe for my summer vacation in July. Anyone know the cheapest way to get there (maybe Prague, Budapest, or Venice, or maybe eastern Europe) from Seoul??

Anyone have any other advice? Hard to plan this stuff if you're leaving from Korea...

It's usually hard to beat the Lufthansa price from Incheon to Frankfurt. Frankfurt is a great place to start traveling Europe from. It's the rail and air hub of Europe.

Lufthansa? As little as 1 million in July and 1,425,000 Won in August to Frankfurt. Expensive any way you try to leave Korea on holiday.

youd better buy QUICK, Europe from Korea is selling out Quickly.

The BEST price I found 5 days ago was 917 Thousand ( Seoul to Istanbul, Istanbul to Barcelona, return was Athens to Seoul

Turkish airways.

AND I could not get the dates I wanted

Lufthansa was 1.2 million.

If you are goinmg to Europe prepare to get highway robbed, AND prepare to not get good newson flights.

You will either pay HIGH to get the dates you want, or get a slightly cheap discount at the expense of vacation time.

We are now going to hit Cambodia

I don't know if this is still the case today, but twenty-five years ago you had to buy your Eurail pass before you got there. So check into that. It's a big savings if you plan to travel around.

Also, to save on overnight accommodations, every other day or so take the night train, use the sleeper car, and wake up at your next destination.

Confused Is this for real? 900K is a completely decent price for a flight across the world! How much do people expect to pay for a flight anyway??

When I searched for our tix to Munich for July, we were getting insane prices and odd layovers in Russia and the middle East. At the suggestion of a friend, I registered on Luftansa, entering ALL information using my house address in the states, and then searched on their site. $830 US RT to Munich direct. Frankfort was $300 more at the time.

My friend suspects that the local servers trip the system to provide sucky prices to Koreans and others flying from here. After seeing it myself, that might be the case.

Thanks for your responses, guys. I appreciate the guidance... but are there any general Korean websites that might sell cheap tickets? I used one called whypaymore.co.kr (I think) to go to Thailand... dirt cheap. Like a few hundred thousand won, round trip.

There's another one, but I can't remember it. Anyone know many travel agent website like this??
