What's "The Bu" like?

Also, I e-mailed my recruiter asking for the e-mail of the current foreign teacher that works at the school. She told me that they want to replace the teacher even though he/she really wants to renew the contract. Thus, making it difficult for me to contact her since I would be replacing her. What should I do?

Also, what questions should I ask when checking out a new school.

The not wanting to renew a teacher is a warning sign to not go with the school. I already see 11 month firing coming soon for the previous teacher...

If a a school will not be honest with their teacher they will not be honest with you.

NEXT!

I decided not to continue the process with the school. My recruiter is now looking for another position for me.

was this a PS? one rule I came up AFTER it would have done me any good is "how important do you find TEAMWORK in teaching the English program?"

other ones to add to the list are:
* "I know Korean teachers wear many hats at school, but do you think it's important to there to be at least monthly meetings between NETs and their Korean partners to straighten out problems?"

* "Do you feel being supportive of one another's teaching in class is needed, and if we do have disagreements, where should we discuss them?"

if this is re: a hagwon, the story could be murkier.... I had one do the midnight run after her first month, and then her replacement was anotehr story.... after a while, they just were happy with one native teacher, and it was me. now that had some pretty good dividends... Wink
