I've decided it's time to step up my Korean, but the free Introduction to Korean class doesn't fit my schedule. I'm willing to buy some classes until I can apply for the Korean 2 free class which is in the evenings. Anyone know any reasonably priced Korean language classes or have a list of Korean hagwons? I live near Mok Dong and am willing to travel. |

The bored dude behind the desk at your local gym provides decent lessons.
The bedroom of your Korean girlfriend is a nice setting to learn new expressions you might not pick up elsewhere.
That friendly grandma who can't really recognize that you're not Korean but chats all day is great listening practice.
The overly inquisitive ajumma at your local mart will help you with counting and stuff.
If all else fails you could see what's up with the 10 year old down the street when he walks by, they're curious about everything and the vocab they use isn't too difficult.
Sorry I'm bored but I hope someone gets the point (the point about learning outside the classroom if you're even a little short on cash or time, not the point about me sucking). |

haha yes.
plus going for a walk in your neigbourhood and beyond, you tend to meet drunk office workers walking home after a couple of after work bottles of soju. say hello and off you go. |

Wow you guys are really helpful. Yeah, I know you can talk to Koreans, I do that and have a learned a lot that way already, but at some point you hit a plateau and I want someone who is an actual teacher to explain grammar to me and know the reasons why things are the way they are. I have Korean friends who help me but I want to take a class. |

I looked as well and have a hard time finding ones. When you google it you mostly get full time schools trying to recruit people from abroad and as we know the search function here is almost useless. I would like to know if anyone has any leads as well. |

If that's the case, then you could google this site as I suggested....................
Useful replies to this thread are expected of course but until then you can search this site, which will probably be as useful or more so than this actual thread will turn out to be. |
