I recently had my laptop stolen from my apartment, as I have not much hope of ever getting it back I must think about getting a new one. I had an ASUS laptop which was built for gaming, or reasonably built for gaming. I am just wondering what are the choices for a good gaming laptop in Seoul?, prices and would they have an English OS?. I am thinking about getting the same laptop imported from back home, but that might be cost-prohibitive. |

I'm sure many people here will be able to give you specs on what to get.
A tip for the English OS though, request it be installed before you buy it. |

i wanted a new high end system for work and i wanted it to be ALL in english. What i did was contact dell customer service and got a great deal on one of their xps systems with all the settings like keyboard and vista in English. Aside from having to take vista its been a great deal. |

The best gaming laptop is a desktop and a netbook. You can get both a desktop that will game better than the laptop and a netbook that will be more portable than the laptop for about the same price.
Gaming notebooks are especially overpriced in Korea unless things have changed quite a lot in the last 6 months. Best bet is probably a desktop from yongsan and a netbook ordered online. |

Agreed with JustJohn. I got a gaming laptop for $2000 in the U.S. and it doesn't quite run Assassin's Creed on maximum resolution, but my older desktop runs it perfectly. This just goes to show the quality-to-cost ratio just isn't really worth it with gaming laptops. I wish I'd known this earlier. The only thing with a gaming laptop I like is that I can take it anywhere. For example, if I'm visiting relatives I usually take it so I can play multiplayer games with my friends in my spare time there.
That said, I think Dell does a good job with its laptops, I got mine there. |

I just bought the Sager NP8662, which is currently the most powerful 15" laptop in the world.
I had to order it from America, but it's totally worth it. Check it out if you're interested. I customized mine for about $2000, but with shipping and tax customs, that's an extra $400... but if you want a really powerful laptop for gaming, this is it. |
