I'm doing two weeks of 10 hours each. Not sure yet whether it will be mixed level or two different levels.

Shh! Keep it quiet! Don't give anyone ideas! Right now, my middle school's happy with just a five-day Summer camp for me, students drawn from all three grades.

Just say yes to her stupid demands. There is a website with all elementary school lesson plans. I suppose she wanted to hear you'll quit.

Don't give her the satisfaction, do what she asks, don't worry if it is of bad quality. The co-teach has no power to fire you, just collect your money and get out of there.

I have nine days including 2 Saturdays for a total of 36 hours. I have this whack schedule because I have the temerity to actually want to take the holidays I'm entitled to, and compromised on this.

Of course they are dragging there feet about giving me 2 extra days off (on days I would be seat warming anyway), because that is the only flights I can get. Rolling Eyes

I have over 6 weeks of winter camp with the same students everyday. Ugh. For the winter I have some very similar to the OP and I'm escatic they aren't squeezing in every possible working hour on me again. It kinda feels like a vacation approaching.

Just found out that my principal has stated we'll be having 4 weeks of classes in the summer. Not camps, just classes and only in the AM.

Apparently the VP talked him down from having regular classes all day every day all summer long.

If I'm lucky I might get to have 5-8 days off at the same time as my wife.

I get a 2-week 'conversation' camp at the end of both Summer and Winter semesters at my private BHS. This involves teaching 2-classes per day; one 1st grade, usually in the morning; one 2nd grade, usually in the afternoon. I'm free to disappear in-between classes if I like. Each class typically has about 6-students. However, last semester, one class only had 2-students, while the other had four.

Either way, it's a piece of cake and I can do what I like. The class usually descends into a discussion about something or other, which the students enjoy.

Originally a 5 day camp that morphed into a 2 week camp (which is in my contract so I cant really complain). However, I did set them straight on my holidays.

They thought my additional 2 weeks for resigning somehow absorbed my unused holidays from my previous contract. So now I get nearly the entire month of August off to travel back home and I miss the first week and a half of the new semester! Whee!

I'm taking my 2 weeks between contract break from March, and my summer vacation at the same time. So, to fit in two 6 day camps I need to do Saturdays plus a couple 6 class days.

the funny part is that SMOE issued a new ruling that ALL camps MUST be three weeks in length and total 60 hours.

whats funnier is that they have not sent this information to all of their teachers who are planning them.

My partner teacher knew nothing of the mandate until I showed her the confirmation email I got when I asked 3 months ago.

So for many of you who have this awesome one week schedule you are either the benficiary of the exact type of unequal unfair treatment the mandate was supposed to eliminate, or you will be getting an "updated" camp schedule whn they email finally gets sent out.

There is also very likely going to be a mandate coming out that ALL resigning bonus vacation MUST be taken in the last 2 weeks of February.
