It seems to be a week for the French, two French movies have hit the theaters:

Asterix at the Olympic Games / Asterix aux jeux olympiques - Language: French

While out hunting, Asterix and his friend Obelix run across a sports champion of one of the local Roman garrisons named Gluteus Maximus, who is to participate in the Olympic Games. Under the effects of magic potion, they beat the Roman athlete in everything he attempts, temporarily breaking his resolve. Later on, the Gauls decide to participate in the Games as well�

Shall We Kiss? / Un baiser s'il vous plait - Language: French

When Gabriel and Emilie meet by chance, he offers her a ride, and they spend the evening talking, laughing and getting along famously. At the end of the night, Emilie declines Gabriel's offer of "a kiss without consequences". Emilie admonishes him that the kiss could have unexpected consequences, and tells him a story, unfolding in flashbacks, about the impossibility of indulging your desires without affecting someone else's life.

Late night at the high school chapel, a group of teenagers swear their friendship with blood and promise that they will even die together. Then one student, Eon-ju commits suicide by jumping to her death. The remaining friends are then chased by death as their promise weights heavily over them. The school is soon covered in blood.

In the early 1990s, a tractor mechanic from China nicknamed Steelhead, portrayed by J-chan enters Japan illegally in search of his girlfriend Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei). Steelhead and his friend, Jie (Daniel Wu) meet in the busy Shinjuku district of Tokyo and take manual labor jobs to earn money. When Steelhead finds out that Xiu Xiu has married a Japanese yakuza leader named Mr. Eguchi (Masaya Kato), he decides to remain in Japan. When Eguchi was targeted to be murdered, Steelhead saves his life. To consolidate power, Eguchi formes an alliance with Steelhead to carry out his revenge. Soon, Steelhead has become embroiled so deeply in the ways of the yakuza that there is no turning back.
