Wonderland?

I've heard that many hagwons go out of business and leave people stranded a lot of the time... are these rumors true? I don't think I can get into a public school as EPIK is closed and SMOE is filling up so quickly...

Does anyone have suggestions for stable places, especially around Daejeon?

E_athlete,

If you don't mind my asking, what school are you going with? Is it in EPIK or through something else? I'm really looking for a school to go with, but have only been offered things by CDI, who I'm not excited about.

my contract was just sent out a couple of days ago I dont know the exact name but it's in Iksan in the province of Jeollabuk-do. My recruiter hooked me up. He was eager to place me somewhere and I was eager to get a job quickly so it worked out well for both of us. Im starting professional school in late July 2010 so I wanted to fill that time in saving up some money for living expenses.

I chose public school. I think if you are interested in Seoul you can probably get in working at a hagwon but.. it's pretty risky. Seoul seems great and all but it's not worth it for me if it means gambling with what could be a horrible job. Maybe it's good that I didnt get a Seoul job because I'd be spending too much money buying stuff and playing tekken at the arcade.
