| My old roomate who talked me into working in korea has sent out at least 50 resumes. He worked in Ulsan at a college, and left, a middnight run, and now wanted to come back.He has not got any responses at all. Is there a black list? I told him I would help him find out. |

I'm guessing that the blacklist is immigration.
Doubt he/she got a letter of release so their name is still attached to an active visa. Have to get out of that one, or wait for it to expire before they can re-apply.
Or the black suits are coming to drag them back to Korea. |

I already sent him my friends name, I thought he was serious.
Anyway, I talked to a recruiter about this and he told me that there is a black list that the universitys keep. I asked him how to get a copy of it and he said he would try. I thought this poster had the list. My friend is sure there is a black list as well. |

Is there something wrong with you? I can think of several reasons why one would be sending someone else's name to an anonymous poster on this site, but none of them are good.
I won't call you some of the choice names I have in mind, but I know if you ever got your happy-weeny kick on and did that to me you'd be getting a 3 alarm house-call.

Actually, there is a sort of blacklist here. My GF's sister works for a company that also does recruiting and there is a website with a blacklist of teachers. It is completely arbitrary and there are some of the stupidest reasons ever as to why certain teachers are blacklisted. She let me look through one day to see if there was anyone I knew on it (there wasn't) and it is quite a big list. It is NOT any kind of official list, but all recruiting companies have access to it and probably use it, or at least look at it. |

This is true. I'm friends with a recruiter, and there is a blacklist that is not for public consumption.
The good news is it only lasts a year. |
