I want to do a 10 - 14 day juice fast this summer, but I'm leaving Korea in a couple months, so I don't really want to buy a new juicer. I would consider buying a used one, but ideally, I'd like to rent one for a couple weeks. I'd pay pretty well for it..... |

No, that's not really gross.
Did you ever take the time to consider that, what you think are witty little comments can impede the OP's original goal (and someone who could benefit from it)? Especially when you really have no part in the transaction or even helping out with useful information?
And if you think that's gross, then probably they definitely wouldn't want to rent a juicer from you. Maybe a slightly odd request but not gross. |

Maybe you can find a catering service which might be willing to rent one out. Otherwise, if the money is right, I'll can chew the fruit and spit it out into a glass for you |

Exactly, you can pay to buy your own for what it would cost to ask someone to rent one.
How do you guys clean your appliances? a once over with the faucet? It's not that hard to have clean appliances.
Maybe I would pass on the margarita at your party when I saw moldy chunks swimming with the ice... |

I think you're contradicting your previous post a bit.
Juice on. |

Nope, I'm not. Actually you were following my recommended lead... nice job. |

I really don't get it -- what would be gross about using someone else's juicer? Do you think juicing itself is gross?
I can use g-market on my own, but I'm not sure what you've pointed to would be adequate. Have any of you used these blender-filter appliances to make juice? I'm going to be making several liters of juice every day, including juicing leafy greens, so I'm not sure one of these would get the job done. But if it would, yeah, that would be great..... |

Yeah, I try to be frugal. If I thought it would be worth my time and a buyer's time, I would sell any food that I had leftover before I left.
Our planet is dying because people like you and me consume too much. Why not try to rent a blender and save myself some money, give someone else a little cash, and prevent the mining and plastic production that goes into making a blender?
Love your avatar, btw. |

What is gross about used applicances? I got a used blender for 7000 won. It leaks, but what do you expect for 7000 won. It pulverizes my frozen fruit and that's all I need.
Juicers are a little more exotic though. Good luck finding one of those for cheap. |

Centrifrugal juicers will generally not do leafy greens - you need the ones that squish and squeeze (or masticate) rather than spin. I would love to buy a Norwalk, but the price tag means I'll stick with my Phillips for a while yet.
As for the renting idea, I admire people trying to cut down on consumables. Fight Club was on OCN the other day and I had forgotten one of Pitt's best lines was something like "we work at jobs we hate to buy cr@p we don't need". |
