I told them today to put on the air con or I am coming with shorts on. They think I am joking. Our school is a sauna today and I am wearing jeans and a dress shirt. Tomorrow its going to be board shorts and a t-shirt. I can handle hot weather but humidity kiils me for some reason.

I feel exactly the same way. Thankfully I only have to teach two lessons today and three tomorrow, so I think I can manage, even if I'm going home at lunch to change (dress) shirts.

Good man - show these wankers who you are!

Sing a song in class (I forgot the thread on here I got it from but it was pretty hilarious)

'Today is hot but DD is not' whilst doing a fan dance!

I think if I put one of the students pink hello kitty fans around my neck the air con would be on 10 minutes later. I could also wear a pair of those adidas shorts from the 70's where the balls hang out when someone sits down.

As I regularly exercise quite strenuously I find that just sitting around an office doesnt cause me to break out in sweat.

RIght now wearing a polo shirt, khakis and dress shoes. Feelin' fine.

Perhaps the OP needs to get more exercise.

The Chi idea is a good one. Not many believers in practicing this, but it does work. Since working in oriental medicine for the past several years, I discovered there are many ways to make a small adjustment that work quite nicely. People are right though, the humidity can be unbearable if you are not prepared for it. Welcome to Korean summers. Very Happy

Jeans is probably the problem.
They are normally too hot to wear around this time of the year during daylight hours. Thickness of socks is a major factor in how hot you feel.

Wearing lightweight trousers and short, thin socks makes things very bareable. Western style heavy jeans nearly killed when I first came.
The aircon probably won't be on till July.
Today's outside real-feel temp is about 35C here.
Rainy season is forecast to start tomorrow for two weeks so things may cool down till July.

ps- I think slack trousers keep you cooler when outside, as they protect your legs from the strong sunlight.

I get my exercise in and I am having trouble knowing how exercise and feeling hot in humidity have much of a relationship. Judging by the geek in the pic you had before you better get lot's of exercise.

I think that different parts of Korea have different humidity levels. It feels like about 80% here today. One kid just puked after lunch because of the heat. Dry heat I love but humidity kills me.
