I have a group of uni students where 4 out of 5 males are complete soju swilling video game playing slackers while the females are mostly decent students. As a result, I find that I spend most of my time answering questions from the girls in the class because they are the ones asking questions.
Perhaps you can see where this is heading? Some of the Koreans boys have been complaining to one of the middle manager ajoshis that I only answer the girls questions.
How do you avoid these situations? |

Deflect the girls questions to the boys rather than playing "ping pong " with the girls.
Go for a drink answers your question too. |

For the most part only the girls and a small percentage of the boys are following along enough to answer questions.
Drinking with students is frowned upon. |

Yeah, but that's 'frowned upon' in the Ross Gellar sense from FRIENDS, right?
and you can always ask one who's also studying English Poetry to help you straighten out your Longfellow, right?
God Bless, Rodney Dangerfield.... wherever you are... |
