It's so fun and exciting and Korean people are so friendly! I've only been here for a week and I've already made numerous friends!
The only thing that scares me a little are the pushy sales people. Mainly because I can't understand them and I feel stupid.
Food is delicious and I love the night life. |

I've got a funny feeling this thread is not going to be as popular as the 'I Hate Korea' one. But best of luck to you anyway. |

I think the OP was annoyed with the "I HATE KOREA" post and posted this. |

2 years and I still haven't left the honeymoon phase. As long as you have a good job, Korea is what you make it. |

I got a feeling after the honeymoon phase is over and homesickness sets in the OP will start a new 'I Hate Korea' thread.
OP, enjoy the good vibes, they'll last for a while then you'll crash when its not quite so new and magical and then, finally settle into equilibrium where some days are good and some are bad. It happens to everyone. Once you've lived in a few more places the crash wont be as bad, either. |

I love Korea, too. I've been to lots of different countries and Korea is the third country that I've lived in (lived in for years, not months).
There have been some rough times in the last 4+ years that I've spent in Korea, but that's life - not Korea. As others have said, a great job, nice house and good friends add up to good times. I hope the OP keeps riding the happiness wave. |

Prepared to be attacked by some forum posters.
They don't like to see that people actually enjoy themselves here |

I'm glad you're liking your stay. Hopefully, the high will last through your entire visit. Don't mind the sales people too much. They're just doing their job like yourself. Just smile and walk away. You can always learn to speak a little Korean. It's not hard. Reading it is even easier. |

People who enjoy themselves and deluded newbies are often quite different lots. |

Good for you. Glad to see things are going swimmingly. Now the real trick is keeping that same mindset when homesick phases come knocking. |

That is a half truth. I've went from a Wonderland to a technical school. Maybe next I'll pull some random school off of a blacklist site and apply there. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
Despite having these undesired jobs I've still managed to have a good time. So yes, Korea is what you make, I'll agree to that. Let me also add that life is always what you make of it. |
