I recently extended my visa for a month (it previously expired on the
18th of November and I am working until the 7th of December). And my
employer has updated my Alien card to the 7th of December,
accordingly.
I have been told there are new rules which do not allow to me stay in
the country for so much as day after the date on my Alien Card. This
is worrying as my employer has booked my flight home on the 14th of
December. They also cannot offer me any advice as to what I should do
to remedy the situation.
How much is this going to cost me? What can I do to sort this out now
before it becomes a bigger problem? |

Go to immigration with your ticket in hand. they will give you a NON-working extension from your ARC expiry until the date of your ticket. It is FREE but must be done at least 3 working days BEFORE your ARC expires.
You CANNOT say in Korea beyond midnight of the last date indicated by your ARC (or the extension on the back).
