I know this topic has been covered to death, but the search function just isn't working well. Here's my question:

Do you have to be physically present in Korea for 1 year to collect your pension refund? (I will be leaving Korea after 11 months in the country.)

Thanks, all.

From what I know, you only have to put money into it to get it back (plus be American or Canadian). Go to the pension office and get the forms you need. Be sure to bring proof that you're leaving the country.

And for those under the GEPIK contract: do we need to have that proof of residency form in order to obtain our pension?
