I need work done on a few teeth. I need a 3 crowns/maybe implants, 3 fillings, etc.
It would cost me a few thousand dollars in the USA. I will be getting my Tesol certification in Thailand in August. Then I will heading to Korea in September to work.
Question: Should I get it done in Thailand (Bangkok/Chiang mai) or wait till I get to Korea?
Also I read someplace that they do a dental exam to get your Korean Visa?
thanks for the info!

I have been to dentist in both countries and found Thailand to be much more thorough and modern. Thailand is an international destination for medical tourism, Korea is not.
Here is the clinic I go to in Bangkok:

Crowns take at least 3 weeks and maybe more if you need a "crown extension" on a back tooth. |

I vote Thailand. In Ciang Mai there is a dentist office close to the nice Italian restaurant by the big main city gate. They have chairs in the front that look like giant hands. My girlfriend and I had work sone there and it was superb and cheap. |

Get them done in Thailand if you can. Korea also has modern dentistry, but it will cost you plenty!!!!!!!!
I have friends who've flown to Thailand just to get extensive dental work. And I'll be going there in Jan 2010 to have a checkup/operation. Cheap as. |
