Notice how some people manage to often do this?

In my opinion, having "to get the last word," is a sign of immaturity.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if this topic really qualifies as Current Events, but anyway...

Personally, whenever I end up as the last poster on a thread, I'm kind of disappointed, because I'm usually hoping for some sort of response to what I've written.

So no, I don't think it's always about "getting the last word".

I think this comes from some people's misunderstanding of what a discussion and debate is.

It is not simply saying something and walking away. people make arguments, and counter arguments and go back and forth. If someone is repeatedly at the end of a thread a few things have happened:
1. They are just posting BS
2. They've made a point that no one can argue with and no one is willing to concede defeat
3. the forum ate another notification email and the other parties didn't feel like tracking the thread down...

Squirrels are a bridge to the divine. They have a net positive benefit on monopolies of scale, and reduce marginal externalities by, or are possible in, massive quantities, and wehn squirrel limbs have rotted due to gangrene they must be amputed to prevent infect of the squirrel's body.
