Can anyone suggest some decent places to go backpacking/camping this summer? Ive been searching the web but nothing real enticing comes up.
PS: anyone want to come with? |

Seoraksan over by Sokcho has a nice campground and there's great hiking there. You can spend a week there.
Jirisan has great hiking and overnight lodges. A hike from one side to the other will take a good two days.
Wolchulsan has pretty good campgrounds on both the north side (near the main entrance just east of Youngam) and the south side. There's a cool sky bridge high up in Wolchulsan as well. Be sure to take the trail that leads to that if you go there.
If you go to a campground, bring an air mattress. They're rocky. |

We camped in Jirisan.. really beautiful and the small camp ground had no one else there.
Airmatress or foam pad (the foldable ones) are a very good idea. Plus a sleeping bag. One online for 15,000won did the job for me nicely. |
