Lots of us are just passing through Korea....you could be here to pay off debt, to save up some cash, to ride out the global recession, for the experience, or all or a combination of the afore-mentioned; but what do you have planned for life after Korea.

Personally -

Where I hope to be: Berlin.
When: By the end of 2010
Doing what: hopefully doing an internship with a charity that works on the behalf of asylum seekers and refugees.

So where will you be, when will you be there, and what will you be doing?

All ESL -
'09 and '10 - Korea
'11 and '12 - Hong Kong with Holiday to England for London Olympics
'13 and '14 - Russia (Hopefully able to adopt a child while there) - then return home to NZ

OR if no luck adopting in Russia ...

'15 and '16 in China - (hoping to do the same) - STILL if no luck, then back to NZ in 2017 to open a Foster Home.

There - my life taken care of for the next several years. Wink

Already took the FSOT and passed it.

However, I didnt get called in for an interview, probably because I'm not completely fluent in a second language and lacked experience (military or otherwise) in international diplomacy/intelligence gathering.

Just a head's up, if you dont have an appropriate degree and some experience you should work on that before 2011 (it would be better to sign up with Army or Navy intelligence as oppossed to teaching in Korea).

Thanks for the info! I have a degree in international studies/relations and I thought that'd be enough with an FSOT pass, but I'll start looking into this other stuff.

While teaching in Korea might not be the most pertinent thing, I guess it just adds more international experience to my resume. I've also gone through several peace programs in China and Japan. I think any international experience wouldn't hurt.

Thanks again, anyway.

2009-2034 - Possibly Korea.

2010-2034 - Possibly Saudi, if I can get a job there.

2010-2034 - China, especially when their currency becomes the world's strongest currency. Laughing

Oh Dixie is whistling a wish, I'm afraid. Might have to take up a skilled trade and actually do some dirty work instead of punching computers and telling people what to do. Wink
