I am also interested in first hand accounts of this school in Gwangju.
I don't have 25 posts so cannot PM.
ANYONE with information on this or ANY hagwon in Gwangju - please email me at [email protected] if you are not comfortable just posting here for all to see.
Thanks! |

hi socratesocks
i chose another job in nearby jeonju over this one. if you ask Jason for email addresses, he'll give them. all 3-4 people replied to my email inquiries. i didn't decide against them because of "trust" issues, but just the actual WORK in the other position was more appealing to me and the pay much higher. from what i learned i'm not opposed to considering them later - after i'm back "in country" and can do a look see! =)
good luck with your decision, this hagwan seems to be a well guarded secret, lol. fyi - 7 branches are being opened (as in it's being franchised) this summer and only the one original one will be managed by Jason. |

I live in Mokpo and actually went and had a personal interview with Jason. I was offered the job (and nearly took it). The only reason I didn't is that I was offered a part time position with my current school, since I have a young son this was a better situation for me.
Jason was very pleasant, open and friendly. The school was nice, the curriculum good and I received only positive comments from the 4 teachers (past and present) I spoke to. My husband works in Gwangju and talked to several of his co-workers about the school. He also heard only positive responses. It seems like a very good job. He's willing to pay a fair salary, provide good housing and generally treat his teachers well. |
