I am relocating to Chuncheon towards the end of this summer and I am hoping to find a group of cyclists to hook-up with. I like to ride longer distances (140km+), and enjoy overnight camping or credit-card touring. Hoping there is someone out there...

Also wondering if anyone can let me know about a LBS in the area to save my wife and I trips into Seoul?

I think you've made a great choice in Chuncheon, especially for road biking. The city's quite clean and scenic but still relatively close to Seoul too. I'm sure the road riding up around the lakes towards Inje and Yanggu will be great - especially with in the autumn.

I couldn't find any links to road biking specific groups in Chuncheon, but I did find the local mtb group:

I think there are also road biking groups that arrange rides between Chuncheon and Seoul too.

If you're on Facebook then you might be able to locate some other riders near Chuncheon.

Thanks for the info. I have joined the group and will put the word out when I get back to Korea this summer. We are psyched to get around the hills, lakes and rivers in the area.

Our Foreigners in Chuncheon group on facebook is pretty active too, I'm sure you could find other cyclists if you post there. Lots and lots of places to ride in and outside of the city, and I know of at least 4 or 5 people who love long rides and will likely respond on facebook. Chuncheon is a fantastic city, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
