Forgive me as I'm sure this is asked often. (Blame it on the lousy search function.)

Looking at buying a Wii (we're in Seoul). We'll likely be here for 2 years, so it would be worth it. Where is a good place to purchase, and would it be only Korean games? How do we deal with that?

Thanks in advance!

You can get them in Yongsan, chipped to run downloaded games, homebrew, etc. for anywhere from 250,000 to 290,000.
You can download games after that and burn them or run them from a USB hard drive. Several people have commented on buying them but trying to nail down a shop and exactly where to buy them has been a challenge as people seem to comment once about having them then disappear..

Thanks for the info. Seems like too big a hassle. I think I'll explore my options at getting a North American one brought over by friends/family or wait it out as I could be going home for a wedding in Oct.

Thanks again!

I'm hoping to get one in the next month or two, so if I can nail down a shop, I'm going to post photos and directions so people can find it to buy their own. The problem with yongsan is its a pretty big hodgepodge of stuff. So finding something specific can be a challenge without directions or a guide.

I'll definitely be checking back then, thanks for the heads up. We're wishing we'd had the foresight to bring one over with us! Oh well. We'll figure it out!
