|
|
i bought a case for my laptop HD in order to extract the files off it (mostly music but many documents, movies, research, etc...) the problem is that the HD seems to be clicking when it starts up and my computer doesn't even recognize it as a drive... my question: 'is there a place in seoul that is able to repair hard drives (properly)?'
i'll try it again tonight but doesn't look good.
i've read that you'd need a clean room and some serious know-how to fix something inside the hard drive - is there anywhere in the city that can do this? or am i stuck sending it back to toshiba?
note: the laptop was out of warranty - a gift from my former employer.
thanks

the clicking sound indicates that the reading needle is jerking around, not a good sound.
Can you put the HD as a slave somewhere and see if you can find it? |
