I'm sick of Korean pirated garbage that screws up and is basically
non-fixable. I need a new, in-the-package, English version of XP.

Anybody know where. And don't tell me you think this or think that.
If you don't know for sure keep your opinions to yourself.

I know precisely where you can get what you need, but since Seoul is great, Seoul is Mecca, anyone who lives south of the river is a dirtbag, I'm just going to keep the information (and the non-expiring, never-blacklisted, red-brick corp license key) to myself.

I'm in the same boat. I think that the only thing you can do is shell out $50 to someone you know on the US base and have them pick up the MS Office package for you. Otherwise, download Open Office for free and just transfer your files to MS Office in Korean when you finish them. Sometimes you have to reformat them a little.

You install the English language pack...or just get a great alternative english version by surfing the "torrents" of the web.

They extended it. Same as they did with 2k until XP SP2 came out.

And remember, Cohiba said he wants to *know*, no I'm sure, no guessing, so if you're not 100%, you're not worthy of this thread.

Go to Microsoft Seoul in the Yangsan Electronics Market if you want the original and English only there is only one place. Your only other option is clear to order it straight from Microsoft online and yes it is still available.

Thank you all for your unimaginably helpful comments. All, of course,
totally erroneous.

I phoned Microsoft Korea. There is a vendor near Sindorim who sells
English Windows Vista in both Basic and Premium versions. Windows
XP is no longer available in Korea.

Shop number: 02-3472-2288; they will deliver; cost: 198,000KRW
