I've just had a go at joining up with Naver.com from New Zealand. They have a way for foreigners residing overseas to join up, which involves entering your landline phone number, getting an automated phone call with a 5 digit code and then entering that and completing the online application.

I haven't quite completed my application yet as the last pop-up on the application page told me to enter a final code that had been sent to me via my email address. That code hasn't arrived and I am wondering if there is normally a delay or if something has gone wrong.

If anyone reading this has joined up with Naver, can you tell me how long I might have to wait for my final code with which to complete my application? (It's not in the spam or trash folders either - I checked)

Cheers, Duncan
