Hey there...
I'm considering Taiwan for a year (starting next year sometime) and I have a few questions for those of you who have taught there and in Korea...
All the questions are sort of compared to Korea...
What's the pay/saving money like there???
What's the tax like?
Cost of living?
Do they pay your airfare?
Is it a good place to be/live?
Do they pay for your flat?

| The best place for info is the International Forum. Once you go there you can select Taiwan. However, for some reason Dave's requires separate registration for posting and pm'ing. |

| I never worked there, but I went job-searching there once. Before I went there, I was hearing the salaries were around NT$60,000 per month (about US$1800). I have no idea if such salaries actually exist, because all I could find were schools that wanted to pay around NT$500 per class for about 20 classes per week, which is closer to NT$40,000 (US$1200) per month. |
