Somebody! Anybody! It would be much appreciated! |
From an instructional point, conversational English includes structured exercises and activities which are intended to help focus on the specific needs of language learners in the area of speech and oral presentation skills. It is much more than simply attempting to improve conversational skills, and often educators overlook the need for some of the basics such as: production - how the speaker formulates their facts, ideas and opinions; role taking during the process of a formal or informal discussion; spontaneity - how freely the language learner is able to create and construct their own phrases, sentences, and expressions commonly used within the context of the topic for discussion; and self-awareness - the students understanding of how they can use English to communicate with others in a language that is not their own native language.
There is more to it, but in short that is about it from the perspective I believe you asking. If I am giving you something you were not looking for, forgive the intrusion on your post. |
