Never understood why people bought movie DVDs. Concert/music DVDs I understand. How many times can you watch a movie especially knowing how it ends? |

Here's why people buy movie DVD's ...
Note that I would never spend 15/20$ on a single DVD like they are back home, but here's why I buy them overseas.
1. They are cheap. 2000/2500 won for 2 hours of entertainment.
2. Great entertainment at home for those of us who don't waste money on cable TV.
2. I don't have to waste my time sitting on a computer and download them.
3. They have Korean subtitles, so you can watch them with your gf/bf. Can't always find that online.
4. Movie theaters are expensive as well. Why bother? Just stay home. Buy a bootleg DVD and use the money on something else.
5. Who says you can't watch a great movie again? I've seen many movies numerous times. It's the same as a great book. People read them again even though they read it before. No difference with a movie
6. What's wrong with having a DVD library? Same as books.
7. Re-sell them to others or give them away to friends to watch after.
There are probably more but this is what I thought of at the moment I saw your thread. Maybe think a minute next time before hijacking a thread of someone selling something.
Cheers. |
