1, Which bars have the least US Government Contractors or old military guys hanging around in them. I see them in places like Seoul Pub and 3 Alleys and it seems like the discussions are always the same. You can leave for 3 months and return to the bars, see the same guys talking about the same things.

2. Which bars do you think have the friendllest staff?

3. Which bars are best for just mellowing out in that is not too loud and has a good group of customers?

Would really appreciate your feedback on this.

Ahhh! You do not seek Itaewon, no sir. You seek Hangout in Ansan. Amazing, cool, authentic, mixed crowd, laid-back atmosphere, and Ozzy is cool as hell.

경기도 안산시 중앙동 금산빌딩 2층. 019-596-2739. That should get you there.

1. If you go up to that street behind the Hamilton hotel there are a couple of swanky new bars that have just opened up, and I've seen a lot of pretty hot girls there. And B1 has a pretty good crowd with minimal military presence. If you're looking for more of a "college pub" feel, then try Wolfhound.

2. The hostess bars, hands down. The hostesses are very friendly. But you have to buy them drinks, of course. Laughing

Also, Bricx. Their staff is pretty cool. Good place for chilling out and passing a hooka.

3. In addition to Bricx, Bungalow is also pretty good, it's a beach-themed bar with sand floors, and there's a big upstairs terrace where you can chill out. Best to go with a group though. I don't really go to bars alone so I'm not sure what places are good for singles... perhaps see 1 or 2 above though. Bricx and Bungalow are both on the street behind Hamilton as well, FYI

For a 'pub back home' feel - 3 alley. And they're a lot more friendly now the Germans have left...

For a 'sophisticated' drink with friends and a nice outdoor garden - gekkos garden bar

For a 'metrosexual' trendy night - brix or b1...

For the college student union bar feel (puke) - wolfhound / gekkos

For the grungy / sleazy feel - woodstock / nashville
