Has anyone managed to book a flight to KZ that did not limit you to one bag, 20 kgs? I am thinking about moving there next and I have a bit more than 20 kgs....I have checked sidestep.com and vayama, but no luck
Any other suggestions?

Incheon to Almaty nonstop there are only two airlines.
Asiana or Air Astana.
I would just pack up to 30kg anyway in one bag and they will probably let it through. The worse that could happen is you pay a surcharge.
But really it is at the discretion of the person on duty. |

OT: are you going there to teach or what? I've passed through and wouldn't mind spending a bit more time over there. |

The only way you could do it is via North America. 20 kg is standard for most of the world |

When I first moved from Thailand to Korea I faxed the local office (of Asiana) my offer letter and they gave me 10 extra kg (which I pushed to 15 at check-in).
If you have an offer, the home country airline might help you out. |
