Frickin idiot that I am, I just dropped my wallet in a taxi. I've been checking out the net, and see there's a number to call if you do this in Seoul ... is there a similar number in Busan?

I'd love to get it back as it had my ARC card, mastercard, a wad of cash, as well as a few personal effects in there. My taxi driver was lovely, and whilst I don't really expect the cash back, I think he will turn it in?

My OTHER problem is I only have a week left in Korea, so I really need to get onto it!

Also, I want to say how beep beep beep I just found Mastercard. I just tried to ring and cancel my card, and they put me through to a closed bank in NZ. So much for cancelling my card today!

Try tourist information: (local area code) 1330. They may be able to help you.

Or

Get a Korean friend to make calls to certain cab companies. They will hopefully put a note up on the bulletine board and you may get lucky.

I wish you the best!!

if it had your id card in it, there is a very good chance you might actually get it delivered back to you within a couple of weeks. Happened to me twice.

I think there's a decent chance of getting your wallet and ID/cards back.....but the cash will probably be missing. Happened to me twice

In order to get your wallet firstly you need to report to the city council in Busan because each council is managing with local taxies.

Honestly unless you don't know the correct plate number of the taxi, it seems to be hard to find your stuff again due to the other passenagers purposely took it. (sigh...to be hoest, it's silly to say this)

At work I've much recieved reported civilians' lost items in buses, taxies, subways and so on, and generally I only can give correct bus companies, city councils, and 'Lost and Found Offices' at subway stations to help them find their belongings.

Sorry for not helping you a lot. To get more info 031 120 (Josh mon to fri, 9am to 6pm)
