|
|
I just went to this club called Nabi on teh weekend, in hongdae, and had a lovely time. It was very much a bohemian, hippy style club. But now i hear that there is another club in Hongdae, in a bohemian style as well, near Clubb FF in hongdae, that is supposed to be even better (as it has actual tables instead of the floor seating. my boyfriend has poor circulation so chairs are appreciated). Does anyone know of a bohemian club near Club FF? Just wondering if i can get a name, so i can Google about it.
Alternately, anyone know of any good, unusual clubs around Seoul? I am NOT looking for a packed meatmarket filled with American soldiers.... went to that in Itaewon and hated it. Live music is a definate plus. |

that's a sit on the floor gig though.
there's a place called 거지말 on the same street as FF. that's pretty good. mostly sit down on the floor, but i think i remember there being some small rooms with chairs. not 100% sure though. |

If you like Classic rock, there's a bar in Hongdae called Woodstock. It has a big peace sign in front, and it's near the Seokyo Underpass I think.
There are plenty of cafes that are also art galleries in Hongdae. There's also just art galleries and shops. And there's an artist market at the playground in Hongdae every Saturday called the Free Market. There's a smaller one on Sundays.
If you want a cool place that's Bohemian in Gangnam, check out Rainbow Bar. It's a hookah bar with pillow seating.
I suggest you just walk around and familiarize yourself with Hongdae. There is a tourist info center with an attendant who speaks decent English between the Seokyo Underpass and Hongdae Station, kind of near VIPS restaurant. He will give you a map that has locations of all the galleries, cafes, and clubs.
I live right next to the Hongik University main gate and I doubt I'll ever be able to see every place there is to see in Hongdae before I go. |

| I think you're talking about Bricx. It's right across the street from FF. I'm not sure if it qualifies as "Bohemian" but they do play weird trip-hop type music and they have couches and hooka/shisha. Aside from the Hongdae one, there's also one in Itaewon. |
