| It depends on the requirements put forth by the organization that is issuing the CBC. Mine was from the State of Maryland which requires fingerprints. Other states don't. You will have to contact someone in whatever jurisdiction you are planning to get your CBC from and see what they require. |

| I'm in Illinois and fingerprinting is optional and has an additional fee. I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and do it or not. It's more of a hassle because fingerprinting isn't handled by the state police. Are there schools in Korea that require it? |

| As far as I know, fingerprints are not an immigration requirement concerning your CBC. |
