What's the best value:
Traveler's checks?
International Bank Card?
Credit card?
Sending cash to a relative's bank account?
Another way?
By best value, I mean transaction fees, exchange costs and the like.
Has anyone looked into this?
I'm visiting Canada from Korea.
Please feel free to elaborate in a post. |

Do you mean you are going to Canada? If you have a Canadian bank account, I would take a bunch of cash and deposit it when you get there.
If you have an INTERNATIONAL Korean ATM card (with Cirrus), you should be able to withdraw from a bank in Canada. (But I think not when Korean ATMs are closed, or something weird like that.) Make sure it is an international card, though.
Wiring money will cost you 50,000+ in fees.
Traveller's cheques are a pain. |
