I've been wondering about life in Paju. I got accepted for a GEPIK position there and while the city seems to have some interesting attractions it looks like I would get very bored after a week, are there other metropolitan places close by I could visit?

Paju: Factories, rice, English Village, and spitting distance of North Korea.

Takes over an hour on a good day to get into central Seoul.

Gumcheon is okay but if you want nightlife and western amenities, you're going to suffer. Where are you going exactly? Public school or hagwon/academy?
