I was arrested for "offensive behaviour". The charge was dismissed without penalty because police had been misled. However, it'll still be on my record.

Basically, i'm wondering exactly how strict immigration are now since the changes in March 09. What exactly is their policy? I thrashed google but i can't find much at all.

Was there ever a time when it could be less than 100% clean?

If the charge was dismissed then you shouldnt have anything to worry about...

I was arrested for possession and went through a year probation. The charge is expunged and I had no problem...this year I am doing a state check though not a local....hopefully there's no problem...I'm doubting there will be because Ive been fingerprinted many times for group home work and nothing ever showed up....dont sweat it....

Offensive behaviour is the norm here. You should fit right in.

My understanding is that immigration will accept CBC's with minor non-dangerous to children charges/arrests. But in the current market where people who lose their jobs in western countries are coming to teach English recruiters/schools won't accept you. They will blame immigration but the reality is that they can easily get someone else.

If there is anything on your CBC, you will probably have to do more shopping.
