I was diagnosed with OCD (Obsessive Cumpulsive Disorder) about 10 years ago when I was 14 and went on a series of downfalls with just about all SSRI's out there. I now regulate my anxiety and panic attacks with meditation, tea and exercise.
However there are moments when even that isn't enough and I hold a small stash of Xanax when I get somewhat antsy... Only had to resort to this 3 time since I've been in Korea (21 months). Since I"m leaving soon and won't have health insurance in the US and because it's so damn expensive to get a prescription I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about getting a subscription for the stuff here in Korea? Do I just go to a normal doctor or does it have to be a psychologist? |

It's pretty easy to get if you go to a legitimate doctor, most will do, if they speak english and you can explain the situation. Just tell them what your prescription dosage was and how frequently you took it.
I simply showed my US prescription to the doctor and he refilled it, at first for a 1 month supply but then once I got to know him he'd give me a 3 month supply just so I didn't have to come back.
Most doctors here seem to be pretty trusting and as long as you don't come off like a pill popper they'll help you out with previous prescriptions. |

Did you try any CBT? Psychologists always seem to think it's better then sliced bread, but I've found little evidence in severe OCD, especially for someone failing multiple SSRIs (and I assume SNRIs?) |
