The prosecution arrested two Nigerians on suspicion of attempting to sell marijuana in Korea and smuggle the drug to Japan, investigators said Wednesday, according to Yonhap News.
The prosecution confiscated 4.3kg of marijuana, an amount investigators say is enough for 8,600 people. The street value is estimated at 27 million won ($21,000).
The suspects, whose names were withheld, are accused of trying to sell 3kg of the drug in South Korea. They are also suspected of trying to smuggle out the remainder to Japan. They allegedly received the banned substance from a South African woman early this month, investigators added.
Under South Korean laws, drug dealers can be sentenced to at least five years in prison or a maximum of life imprisonment.

4,300grams / 8,600 people = 0.5 grams per person - that is so small.. |
