Hi everyone

I've been here nearly three years and had several electronic products shipped to me from the states. It's never been a problem. The service between the U.S. and Korea has been quite good actually.

My family sent me a new tracphone about 18 days ago and it still has not arrived. I'm going to track it through the U.S. postal service but there may not be anything I can do.

I've received no calls from customs here to let me know that my package is being held up.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm getting pretty worried. That phone is important to me and is worth over $150 U.S.

I never had a problem in nearly two years, whether I had things sent regular mail or Fed Ex.

Because of that I told my family to send some documents by regular mail last month to save some money as there was no urgency for me to get them.

However, I pretty much gave up on them when they did not come after 3 weeks. But lo and behold, they arrived yesterday, over 4 weeks after they were sent.

I too have always gotten my packages (with addresses in English). But some sent from the US to Korean family here disappeared (Korean addresses).

I suppose I've gotten a bit spoiled in the past when things have arrived so quickly... as in, within a week.

I'm still a little concerned but I suppose I just need to give it a bit more time.

so if they hold your package do they keep it? Or do they take the item out and send whatever is left to you?

They've already eaten, sold, traded, or distributed whatever was in the package.
