What is everyone doing for the 4th of July?
Will there be any events, celebrations, or get togethers going on here in Korea? |

Yes, I'm so fascinated myself. Perhaps we need to start more threads about this. In honour of your great tax revolt I'm going to have lunch at the great dispenser of American cuisine Burger King, which proudly only serves Australian beef in Korea. |

Yu_Bum_suk, I just arrived in Korea and I'm feeling isolated, lonely, and homesick. Americans getting together for the 4th of July would be like expats here getting together for Chrismas. It seems reasonable to seek the company of foreigners during days that you miss your friends and family back home, doesn't it? |

I was considering a full blown land invasion and retaking Her Majesty's Colony of North America. A massacre of the general population will follow for obvious reasons. |

As somebody who found out that it was Canada Day on the 1st by a Korean waitress at the Holy Grill I can't exactly say I can empathise. If you were near the NE coast perhaps you could have seen the special fireworks show KJI put on for you guys.
At any rate, I hope you had a wonderful Tax Revolt of 1776 Day. |

My Fellow Americans,
We are all so extraordinary lucky to be a part of the freest, most prosperous and greatest nation in the history of the world.
In the history of the world, nations come and go, but there has never been something even close to the United States of America.
The United States is nothing less than a phenomena.
By the grace of God I just happened to born in the U.S. I was born something that countless people around the world would give anything to be -- an American. What extraordinary luck.
There are countless people around the world who can only dream of the freedom, prosperity and opportunities that we have in America and that we can't help but take for granted.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The USA, albeit a great country, doesn't have a monopoly on these things. Also, it is possible to not take them for granted.
Its this arrogance that leaves a bat taste in my mouth. Happy 4th of July though! |

Ignore Yu_Bum_Suk. He is one of those godless Canadians. I'm surprised he's not busy sewing flags on to all his belongings. |
