my employer said if i can produce a lease agreement i can get a housing allowance. he said it doesn't matter if i'm with family, only as long as i produce a lease.

so my question is: what particulars are essential to go into the lease? does a lease have to be registered somewhere? my understanding is that the law recognizes a certain type of document as a lease and it can be used to defend one's rights.

your responses are greatly appreciated,

the contract you sign when you give your initial deposit for your apartment. i assume a copy of that would suffice.

maybe you should press them for providing the deposit for you, then you wouldn't need to be showing them a 'lease agreement', they would need to be showing your new landlord 10m won....
