Something goofy happens, but I don't know what it is. Can any soccer experts explain what happened?

Looks like terrible officiating. Didn't really pay attention to the score but the captions said that China would have still won the game. The girl did get thrown out which I assume would DQ her from the next game so that was right. Just bad sportsmanship all around. The Korean announcers complaining about the girl falling down after the Korean player obviously gave her a nice little shot was kinda stupid.

The Korean team is getting a corner kick, and they're down 1-2. The Chinese player fakes getting hit and falls down. This runs the clock time up to 90:00, meaning there's no more time left in the game, but the Koreans would still get one more corner kick, and maybe they could header it in or something. The Chinese player leaving the field who got "hurt" intentionally blocks the corner kick, getting her kicked off the field, but the corner kick was still technically shot, so the Korean team doesn't get a re-do. That ends the game. It's incredibly cheap and unsportsmanlike, but all is fair in love, war and sports, as long as you win.

haha, wow, that really is goofy. How did she block the kick though? the angle is a little bit difficult to see. did she stick out her foot at the moment the kick was made?

I may be wrong, but doesn't it look like the Chinese player, as she was runnning off the field, kicked the ball backwards, before the Korean player could make her corner kick?

The angle of the camera shot doesn't provide a very clear picture, but that's what it looked like.

Absolutely NO sense of fair play or sportsmanship among many people.

Yeah, she just barely snags the ball enough to mess up the Korean player, you just can't see it from that angle.
