| I got an email today from a recruiter that told me that if I send out my resume to too many recruiters and schools get more than 1 resume from two different agencies- they decline the applicant. Is this true? I really want to get a job in Korea and I'm having a bit of a hard time because I'm Chinese American (born here.) Please help! |

I have 4 recruiting companies working for my boyfriend and I.
We don't know either, we are just hoping that one of them will get us the jobs we want. |

| they're probably just saying that to you so that they can secure their commission. |

| as far as I know, this only happens with public schools and ONLY with actual applications sent in on your behalf, NOT just resumes. So yea like the guy above me said, they are just trying to secure their commission. |

| You should only use one recruiter for public school jobs. You should use as many as you can handle dealing with for hogwan jobs. |

Complete and utter shit!
Its just one way to keep you with that agency, and to cash in on the prize..... your life.
Bang your details out to as many people as you see fit, no employer will think anything about seeing your resume more than once, if nothing else he will remember you more.
Recruiter waffle and scare mongering. Those kind of people dont care about you or your career.
Take control of your own destiny. Grow some balls, live long and prosper.
Hang 10. |

I wrote to about 10 agencies, some replied, some didn't, some were weird. I eventually went further with 3. Then 2. Then when I was ready to send my documents for a job I was interested in, I sent them to 1 agency, as I couldn't afford to buy two lots of docs.
I am essentially stuck with one agency now and I hope they don't screw me around (too much!), but that is the chance you take.
I'm a control freak and the whole experience thusfar has been highly uncomfortable, ha! |
