I have a kohjinsha and when i was watching a dvd the windows shut down because of some problem. Now whenever I turn it on it goes to a black screen with:
INTEL UNDI, PXE-2,1 (build 082) Copyright 1997-2000 Intel Corp.
For Realtek RTL 8139 (X)/8130/ 810X PCI Fat Ethernet Controller v 2.22 (070920)
PXE-E61 Media test failure check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM
Operating system not found.
I'm not very good with computers ...so does the above mean my computer is fried? Any chance of fixing it? Bit annoying because I brought it with me on vacation to do online study and now it's useless. I took it to a good computer shop in Saigon but they weren't sure coz haven't dealt with this brand and just said "hard disk big problem"
Any ideas appreciated.. |

"Hard disk big problem" sounds like a pretty accurate diagnosis, actually. You probably just need to reinstall Windows. If you have access to another computer and can take the hard drive out of this one, you may be able to salvage most, if not all of your stuff. However, you'd need to get a new hard drive soon after anyhow, cuz this one can't be trusted anymore. |
