It's even making an appearance on my favorite anti-theist blogs. Looks silly.

Well you had better refrain from watching any movies
With TOM CRUISE OR JOHN TRAVOLTA...
They have subliminal messages running throughout the movie...
Watch mission impossible one too many times and it will become a mission to stop you from signing up at your nearest scientology center. Laughing

I don't think Scientology is all that much more ridiculous than Christianity, honestly. Yeah, Scientologists do some really weird things and believe some really weird things. So do Christians.

If anything, the Christians are weirder.

Christianity hasn't been banned in Germany. And yes, believing in a religion INVENTED by a sci-fi writer 50 years ago is pretty darn strange...

It's not a religion; it's a self-help racket/pyramid scheme.

They only claim to be a religion when it's convenient for them, i.e. when they need that tax-exempt status.

In Europe it is considered a dangerous cult. It is also treated as such.

Hmmm, then why have they been allowed to build a HQ in Lodon's Westend...

Not that I don't agree that it's a dangerous cult myself.

....which, to reiterate what Fox said, does seem odd considering Europe not only tolerates other profoundly dangerous cults, such as Islam and Catholicism, but also has massive socialist states that practically pay millions of individuals who follow these obscene cults without any real productivity in exchange.

Europe can be very extreme, almost Confucian in its imposition of political correctness.

Germany fines people who homeschool their children, and jails those who do not pay.

Germany and Austria jail Holocaust deniers. Now, I as an historian, deplore the disemmination of false history, but I would put Holocaust deniers in the same category as 9-11 conspiracy theorists and flat-earthers and just shake my head.

Norway jails ministers who preach against sodomy. (But a few radical Muslims can preach jihad?)

Maybe Europeans hanker after the good old days of the Inquisition.
