| You and me both. The opening two tracks on their first album were just incredible. I love Processed Beats. It's got so much swagger. |

I tend to have favorite albums as opposed to favorite artists. Of course, there are two or three bands that I am a devoted fan of, but leaving those artists aside, for me, life is a game of albums and not a game of artists.
King Crimson's first 3 albums are probably the best music ever written, but I hate their other stuff.
See also:
Killing Joke's debut (eponymous) album
XTC - English Settlement
Duran Duran's first two albums
Yes - Fragile
Ian Dury & the Blockheads - New Boots and Panties
Howard Jones - Human's Lib
The La's debut (eponymous) album
Deep Purple - Deep Purple In Rock
The Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation
The Clash's debut (eponymous) album (though I prefer the US version)
The above are amongst my most-cherished music, though I'm not a fan of those artists at all necessarily |

Hard to believe that it's been 20-years this year since its release. I can remember hearing it for the first time like it was yesterday.
I think NME declaring it the greatest British album of all time is somewhat contentious, but I'm sure many would agree.
It's all about the last 4 1/2 minutes. How tight is that. |

| I think "Sticky Fingers" would have to be my favorite British album, but there have been a lot of great albums to come out of the UK over the years...too many to name. |
