Please have some consideration for your hogwon brethren who have little (if any) vacation to look forward to.

How dare you be so insensitive Very Happy lol

How much time do you have? If i had more than 3 weeks, i'd go back to my home country for some sweet home cookin'
But i can't even fathom the idea of a vacation that long. Aww well, i chose the hogwon life, so be it.

Bastard....

My co-teach says our school doesn't actually have a summer vacation because to be truthful the area is so boring and have no where to go so the students come to school anyway. So, the lessons will continue! If a good part of the class is a no show then I could've gotten away with some vacation-ish things. Wishful thinking, really.

TEHE... I have all of this week off...

Had 5 extra vacation days I needed to use up before summer camp and before I leave for home in August... So I told school that I needed the last week of class off and they said okay...

Nothing better than not wearing pants and bugging your friends on MSN while they have to chair warm Razz

(Take THAT everyone who says PS jobs suck Razz LOL)

Most stressful time of the year for me. Three and a half hours in the morning with the students (all three levels in one class -- loads of fun to plan for), two in the afternoon with the moms. Then, after next week, I've got the third graders who still can't read English to do phonics with, which I've never taught before. Guess what I'll be teaching myself to do this weekend.

But after three weeks of that, I get two weeks off. Have to do lesson planning homework, though. And I've got an open class just after the break.

My favorite part of today was having all the other teachers ask me how happy I was about it being summer vacation, finally, and then leaving early while I was left scrambling to get lesson planning done. Sigh. It's a hard-knock life, those three months out of the year when we actually have more work than they do.....
